COVER LETTER

Thanks for reading :)

I think the ideal position for me is on a team that's looking to smooth the connective tissue between stake holders and creative. I'm all about streamlining processes to allow more time for making good work and less on the minutiae.

I've worked in almost every single video department before settling on where I am now: a Motion Designer & Animator. I think this breadth of experience allows me to be flexible and helps me to identify where any pain points in a pipeline may be. I was able to put this accumulation of skills into practice at my last full-time job at NextGen America where during the 2018 midterm elections I built out a pipeline that allowed me and my team of 2 editors to dynamically generate thousands of pieces of unique, targeted video content. I know how each facet of a production fits and blends together- from pre-production, set, and post.

I left that position to pursue a full time freelance career and build upon the creative skills that I felt were lacking. Now that I've had room to grow, I'm hoping to find the right team so that I can continue to hone my design skills while tackling new challenges. My ideal workplace is one that encourages curiosity and autonomy. I'm very much a self starter and lean on my experience to identify what needs doing and how best to do it.
